Warning: spoilers for “Round of Honored positions” below.
James Corden used “Round of Honored positions” to understand President Donald Trump’s trade war with China.
On Monday, the host of “The Late Show” noticed how Trump “expanded taxes on Chinese merchandise last Friday, China struck back today by declaring that they will do likewise on American-made goods.”
“Now, I don’t this way,” Corden stated, before making a “Positions of royalty”- themed prediction:
“I feel like this exchange war is going to finish with Trump riding on the back of a mythical beast, burning the whole economy.”
It was a reference to Sunday’s fifth scene of the last period of HBO’s epic dream show, amid which Daenerys Targaryen (played by English on-screen character Emilia Clarke) torched the general population of Ruler’s Landing.
“You chuckle, yet it could,” Corden claimed.
“Now, it’s misty to what extent this exchange war may last,” he proceeded. “Just to be erring on the side of caution, Trump has just gotten a note from his specialist so he can escape it.”
